Request a deck builder
Tell us where the house is and what you have in mind. A local deck builder will call you back to talk it over and set up a time to look.
Before you call
It helps to have:
- The property address, so the request reaches a builder who covers it
- Whether it's a new deck, a repair, a replacement or a roof, and roughly what size
- Wood or composite, if you've already leaned one way
- How high the deck sits off the ground and whether it's attached to the house
- If the lot is on the lake or river, or backs onto timber
Rail wobbling or a board gave way? Block off that part of the deck and keep kids, pets and guests off it until a builder has looked. Don't lean on a railing you're unsure about, especially on a tall deck over a slope.
